Pink tulips planted with purple sage and ranunculas

Because gophers eat almost all flower bulbs, I have to limit what I plant and keep them in ceramic containers. This year I just had to plant a few pink tulips, although they appear to be a short variety and I prefer tall. I stuffed some ranunculas in the planter too, along with some purple sage to take over during the hot dry summer. Gophers don't eat daffodils, and may not eat ranunculas, but I didn't want to risk it. For other possible gopher-resistant bulbs if you are feeling lucky, see here. The bamboo stakes are to protect the ranunculas from the birds, who were tasting them.
