As I write this, our drought-parched landscape here in SoCo California is about to get a thorough dousing, probably even flooding! But that is for the next post, which may require a canoe. 😉 Meanwhile, this last week gifted us with our first showers — polishing dusty leaves and quenching a thirsty garden. For those of us who have been staving off utter desert-like desolation in the garden with buckets of greywater all summer, these first beads of rain feel worthy of great celebration! So, for the #Six-On-Saturday party this week, I’m expressing my joy and gratitude for this much needed moisture.
Thanks again to The Propagator who created and hosts these Six On Saturday garden parties!
Last I checked, we were expecting a massive downpour of seven inches of rain over the next couple of days! This would be more than half of what our total rainfall was last year! So, I’m hoping for happy froggies, a dry house and long petting sessions with Puffball Kitty. Happy gardening to all of you!
